First edition, seventh print. Signed to the half-title page in black pen by the author. Accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from The Harry Potter Specialist (Adam Houston), the sole authenticator of JK Rowling's signature who only specialises in her signature. The book is in near fine condition, with a couple of light knocks to the top edge of the upper board, corners are still largely sharp, the book has a slight reading lean, the spine foot has a bit of wear on one corner, the text block is clean (one very small spot to the fore-edge) and the book is internally clean, bar former owner's name in neat blue biro to the foot of the front free endpaper and the words 'Band 1' (Volume 1) at the top of the same page, also in blue biro. No tears to any of the pages and no dog-eared pages. The spine is not sunned. A near fine example of an uncommonly found signed translation of the first book in the Harry Potter series and the book that made JK Rowling's name.

First edition, very early 8th softcover printing of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, signed by J.K. Rowling on the dedication page in black ink. The book was signed for the previous owner, Genevieve, at Whitworth Hall in Manchester. The eighth edition paperback was published only a few months after the first and is one of the scarcest print runs in paperback, with signed copies being extremely rare. The exact print run is unknown but was likely much smaller than the first. It was the first printing to feature an original Smarties Book Prize Award sticker on the front cover this sticker was later incorporated into the cover design in subsequent printings. This VG (Very Good) copy has been read multiple times, with most wear visible on the cover. The Smarties sticker is missing, and the cover shows signs of use. The interior is in good condition. A few pages have a light crease at the top, but there are no names, inscriptions, or writing inside the book. The book comes housed in a custom-made half-leather clamshell box. Also included is a Letter of Authenticity (LoA) from Adam Houston of The Harry Potter Specialist -the world's sole expert on J.K. Rowling's signature- as well as a collector's card.

Limited first edition, first impression - Signed and dated by the illustrator Jim Kay who has hand-sketched multiple owls on the title page, and a dragon spanning two pages. Accompanied by a signed print of Diagon Alley. A totally unique copy. Jim Kay won the Carnegie Medal for his illustrations in Patrick Ness' Kate Grenaway Award-winning 'A monster Calls' (the only time a book has received both awards). Synopsis : Prepare to be spellbound by Jim Kay's dazzling depiction of the wizarding world and much loved characters in this full-colour illustrated hardback edition of the nation's favourite children's book - Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Brimming with rich detail and humour that perfectly complements J.K. Rowling's timeless classic, Jim Kay's glorious illustrations will captivate fans and new readers alike. When a letter arrives for unhappy but ordinary Harry Potter, a decade-old secret is revealed to him that apparently he's the last to know. His parents were wizards, killed by a Dark Lord's curse when Harry was just a baby, and which he somehow survived. Leaving his unsympathetic aunt and uncle for Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Harry stumbles upon a sinister mystery when he finds a three-headed dog guarding a room on the third floor. Then he hears of a missing stone with astonishing powers, which could be valuable, dangerous - or both. An incredible adventure is about to begin!

First paperback edition, 1997, 19th printing. Signed and dedicated by J K Rowling on the dedication page 'for Ben / with best wishes / J K Rowling'. With issue points Joanne (not J K) Rowling and Thomas Taylor1997 (no space) to title verso, and young wizard on lower cover. This is an exceptionally Fine copy. There is no fading to the spine, which is a very common fault with this book; no browning or toning to pages, which is very unusual; no peeling of laminate; and no ownership or other inscriptions apart from the dedication by the author. The book is tightly bound and has never been read. It has probably been kept in a draw or cupboard since new. Supplied in a red custom-made drop-back box. A superlative copy in collector's condition.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone; first edition, twelfth printing, paperback; inscribed by the author 'To Plymstock School, J.K. Rowling'. The signature is a very early and highly collectable example of the author's signature with the periods still present after the 'J' and the 'K'; as the author speeded up her signature, the periods were gone by mid to late 1998. Being a much-used school book, the book has lost its laminate and has creases to the covers, particularly the front cover; the spine is sunned, with small splits to the spine foot. Page 9 has a small closed edge tear and light green ink marks to the page. The remaining pages are toned, but in good condition. Inside the front cover of the book is a 'Children's Book Award Tester' sticker - Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone won the award in 1998. Name in pencil to top of half-title page 'Plymstock'.

First editions of the deluxe edition of each book in Rowling's Harry Potter series. Octavo, 7 volumes, original decorative cloth as issued with gilt titles and pictorial onlay to the front panel, all edges gilt, ribbon bound in. Boldly signed by J.K. Rowling on the half-title page in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. In fine condition. No dust jackets were issued for these volumes. Scarce and desirable. Since the release of the first novel, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, on 26 June 1997, the books have found immense popularity, critical acclaim and commercial success worldwide. The books have sold more than 500 million copies worldwide, making them the best-selling book series in history, and have been translated into seventy-three languages. The last four books consecutively set records as the fastest-selling books in history, with the final installment selling roughly eleven million copies in the United States within twenty-four hours of its release. The Harry Potter series has been recognized by a host of awards since the initial publication of Philosopher's Stone including four Whitaker Platinum Book Awards (all of which were awarded in 2001), three Nestlé Smarties Book Prizes (1997-1999), [109] two Scottish Arts Council Book Awards (1999 and 2001), the inaugural Whitbread children's book of the year award (1999), the WHSmith book of the year (2006), among others. In 2000, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was nominated for a Hugo Award for Best Novel, and in 2001, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire won said award. Honors include a commendation for the Carnegie Medal (1997), a short listing for the Guardian Children's Award (1998), and numerous listings on the notable books, editors' Choices, and best books lists of the American Library Association, The New York Times, Chicago Public Library, and Publishers Weekly. Also the basis for the eight fantasy films, beginning with Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001) and culminating with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows-Part 2 (2011). The series was mainly produced by David Heyman, and stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson as the three leading characters: Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger.
