Size: 8vo-over 7.75"-9.75" tall; Super nice reprint hardcover in navy blue cloth covered boards dated 1937 on verso title page, but below that is the following number code: L 647. Possible reprint? Book has no names, tears or soil inside. Head of 235pp text is dyed green. Navy blue cloth covered boards with bright silver titles and illustration of sled dogs on frt board. Tips sharp showing color loss only, no rub-through. Vivid, uncreased blue/white illustrated endpapers show a team of dogs pulling a sled through a snowstorm. Original, price-clipped, color illustrated dj in new mylar shows several short closed tears, color loss and small chips at tips, triangular chips on frt and rear panels, plus a 1/2" x 1" chip at head of spine that took the top half of the S in Silver with it, small chip at foot of white background rear dj panel foot that shows a b/w photo of the author in a fur coat, ready for adventure. This old book is clean, solid and in great shape! This is a hardcover book with 213 pages including some illustrations. The binding is strong with all pages firmly attached. The pages are clean with no soiling, writing, or tears. The copyright page shows 1954 as the published date. There is the number 937 on the spine. The picture covers have a color illustration of two men and two wolves fighting. The covers are clean and in great shape. This old book looks and feels great! We always ship in a sturdy cardboard box!

First edition. Illustrated by Kurt Wiese. Very good in pictorial boards. Light rubs at spine ends and slong spine folds, fold in bottom corner of rear endpaper, top edge of text block spotted. This is volume #3 in the Silver Chief series. Book has no names, tears or soil inside. Head of 211pp text is dyed burgundy. Brown 'tweedy' paper covered boards with small splits in paper at spine ends. Story title and decorative edging on backstrip title. Famous Dog Stories and G, D, with a thistle flower separating these two initials are all that is decorating the front tweedy paper covered boards. Spine ends and upper tips bumped, lower tips still sharp. Unclipped (and unpriced) color illustrated dj in new mylar shows several short closed tears, a couple of short, triangular chips on frt and rear panels, plus a 3/4" x 1.5" chip at head of spine that took a piece of the last letter R on Silver with it.
