The Patti Smith Group toured the US and Europe in 1976 in support of their groundbreaking 1975 album "Horses." From the archive of the PIX Agency, an American photo house that acted as an intermediary between emigre photographers (as well as those still living in Europe) and the American magazine and newspaper market between 1935-1969. 8 x 10 inches, archivally matted in a 14 x 11 inch 8-ply white mat. Courtesy Rather Ripped Records SF, CA". After the release of her "Hey Joe/Piss Factory" single, Patti Smith played three shows in Bay Area rock clubs on November 22-24, 1974, likely set up by Beserkely Records musicians who worked at Rather Ripped.

New York: Unmuzzled Ox, 1984. First edition. Cloth. Fine. Folios. Four consecutive issues of Michael Andre's Unmuzzled Ox Magazine sold here together in a Special Publisher's Clothbound format. Printed on inexpensive newsprint type paper and measuring 11 1/4 x 16 1/2" tall. These four issues all contain extensions of Cantos of Ezra Pound by a wide variety of poets and artists including Corso, Buckminster Fuller, John Cage, James Lee Byars, Allen Ginsberg, Robert Creeley and others. Also these issues includes writings, photographs, interviews and more with Charles Henri Ford, W. S. Burroughs, Ira Cohen, Patti Smith et al. Other than toning to the paperstock which is normal for these issues, they are in fine condition. Special lavender clothbound edition printed in silver provided directly by the publisher in presumably very small quantities. This copy comes with the original mailing envelope from the publisher SIGNED by Michael Andre in 1995 and sent to poet Jackson Mac Low.

This book is hard-bound in burgundy covers with a black leather spine, with light gray stamping to the upper cover and spine, with a pictorial paste-down on the upper cover. There is some very light rubbing to the edges of the spine-ends, as well as somne light wear to the very top and bottom of the joints, but with the covers in otherwise excellent condition. The binding is solid. The contents are bright and clean with 250, black & white photo illustrations throughout. This book is signed/inscribed by the author/artist Patti Smith on the title-page. Laid-in at the front of the book is a folded booklet/pamphlet titled, "Patti Smith, A Pythagorean Traveler. An Evening of Words and Song, January 11, 2007," which is signed by Patti Smith on the inside. Also included with the book is the padded, mailing envelope which was used to ship the book between the collector and the author/artist (The envelope is torn open, but added for provenance.) - From the collection of Cuthbert Christian Thambimuttu (1945-2019) of Columbus, Ohio - known to many of his bookseller, author, and illustrator friends as "Tubby." He was persistent in the pursuit of autographed books by the writers and artists he admired, including Gorey, Sendak, Heaney, Byatt, Morrison, Updike and many more. Joseph Heller once wrote to Tubby in response to one more "please sign and return" request: "This is turning out to be a hell of a lot of work!" All signed books unconditionally guaranteed to be authentic. Many of the books are inscribed to both Cuthbert and his great friend of more than two decades Antonia Gale Moss. ; Signed by Author .

A first wave punk zine that includes the Lester Bangs article, "The Roots of Punk"; Richard Meltzer's column, Bebop on Your Mama; a Patti Smith penned piece on Robert Bresson; a full-page comic by Spain Rodriguez; articles on The Nuns, The Dils, The Avengers, Richard Hell, and Cheap Trick, along with heap of coverage of the San Francisco music scene.

With a line drawing of the poet Rimbaud (by Patti Smith, although not attributed). Near Fine condition with faint crease. A program for an evening of poetry and music celebrating the anniversary of the death of poet Arthur Rimbaud. Includes a list of poems by Smith as well as one by Kurt Weil and one by Hank Ballard. Smith's name is not mentioned in this program, but she refers to this event in her memoir Just Kids as having taken place in 1973 in New York on the rooftop of Le Jardin in the Hotel Diplomat off Times Square. One of Patti's earliest performances.

This image was used on the cover of her 1988 Dream of Life album. The photo image measures 12 1/4" square. Condition is only good with light creases and wear to the stiff paper employed. SIGNED by Patti beneath the image. Despite the less than stellar condition it would look quite handsome framed.

Not dated, but look to be from the early 80's. Both photographs are in near fine condition, are stamped by noted punk rock photo-documentarian David Arnoff on the verso and measure 7 3/4 x 9 3/4.
