Gift inscription; tiny patch of surface loss on front pastedown; internally clean, but boards a little soiled & worn. Undated and with no edition stated; however, the inscription is dated Xmas 1915, so this is almost certainly the First edition.

First edition, 1st state, without the listing of "Two Series" below "New Arabian Nights, " on the author's list facing the half-title. This beloved anthology of sixty-six poems has been reprinted and illustrated in many different formats, but the original on wonderful paper still retains a freshness and intimacy of a master poet and author. In near fine condition, owners name to the front free endpaper. Housed in a contemporary custom clamshell box. An exceptional example.
