Whitman Publishing Co. 1932 First Edition NAP Cardboard showing through paper on edges, spine reinforced with matching blue bk-tape, front hinge starting to loosen at one end, rear hinge solid sewn binding, color illustrated end papers, pos penned inside cover, pages faintly tanned, color illustrated pages. Binding overextended ever-so-slightly at "Picture-books in Winter" and "Rain" (near center of binding). Boards lightly rubbing and soiled.

With the Scribner's monogram on the copyright page but a latter date on the title page. Original black gilt cloth with pictorial pastedown and illustrated endpapers. All color plates present. Cover color a bit dull but spine gilt bright. A clean, unmarked, tight copy, scarce in this condition.

Half title and all edges uncut, inscription on ffep, "Dec 30th 1913. To Edith from Ralph with the best of wishes for the New Year. 1914". Good+ to Very Good+
