Laid in is a note typed note on Random House letterhead, signed by Michael T. Pratt, Division B.P., Marketing and Sales, describing the volume. The note is dated April, 27, 1979, well before the announced publication date of June 11. Evidently, the final Trade Edition Dust-jacket was not ready so a plain glassine wrapper was provided with the book. Bound in blue cloth with titles in gilt and blue on spine and facsimile signature of the author in gilt on the front board. Square, tight and clean throughout with no toning or spotting.
