Dust jacket shows some edgwear, has one closed tear to front panel along top edge. Dust jacket contains all first printing points (Younger/Hirsh) except for lack of price on dust jacket flap. Cliff Erickson of To & Again Books notes this anomaly is not documented in Younger/Hirsh and according to his research is more scarce than the DJ with the $2.50 price. Random House discontinued printing dust jackets for this title the year after its initial publication. Peter Glassman from Books of Wonder concludes, however that it is more likely a "Cat in the Hat Book Club" edition, however there are not the expected Book Club markings found on other titles. ; Bright and Early Books for Beginning Beginners; Vol. 13; 9.10 X 6.90 X 0.40 inches .
