There should be no foxing or annotations of any kind on the inner pages, but a sparse amount may be present on the cover, title pages, or outside edges of the book. With all first printing points as per Younger and Hirsch. Minor bumps to the corners and somewhat harder bumps to the spine ends. Slight edge wear. The interior is completely unmarked and tight but for a short name to the rear free endpaper. The dust jacket has a number of short tears, some of which are repaired with clear tape to the verso. There is also a 2" tear to the upper, front, similarly repaired. There is some staining along the upper and part of the lower edges, largely only visible to the verso. There is some staining seen along the upper, rear flap. $2.50 to the front flap. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .

Glossy pictorial cover shows some wear, rubbing evident to bottom edges of front/rear covers, base of spine bumped. Previous owner name stamped on front free endpaper and front pastedown. Dust jacket shows some edgwear, has one closed tear to front panel along top edge. Dust jacket contains all first printing points (Younger/Hirsh) except for lack of price on dust jacket flap. Cliff Erickson of To & Again Books notes this anomaly is not documented in Younger/Hirsh and according to his research is more scarce than the DJ with the $2.50 price. Random House discontinued printing dust jackets for this title the year after its initial publication.
