Very Good Hardcover with Very Good dustjacket.

The chance discovery of a ship buried underground for millions of years transforms the inhabitants of a New England town into one evil, homicidal entity. This is a true first printing with the phrase "Permissions to Come" printed beneath a correct full number line sequence. This copy features the author's name in red, though it should be noted that both the red and the gold versions are equally desirable. Aside from a bit of foxing and soiling to the textblock edges (including a bit of blue dye to the foreedge), this is a clean copy with no writing, marks, underlining, or bookplates. No remainder marks. Not an ex-library copy. Spine is tight and crisp. Corners are square, and the boards are clean, flat, and true with very little wear. Dust jacket is not price-clipped but does have some scuffing and edge wear, including a 1/4" tear to the lower edge of the front cover. The lettering in the author's name on the front cover, which can be quite worn on these books, is rubbed but only on six out of the eleven letters. This highly collectible, very good/very good, first edition/first printing copy is protected with an archival mylar dust jacket cover. A great price for a classic King novel! First edition first printing with "Permissions to Come" and a full numberline. A tight and clean unmarked unread copy. The dustjacket is unclipped and has just light rubbing from shelfwear--mostly due to the black background--a very nice copy.

Dust jacket is unfortunately price-clipped and has a 1" tear with associated creasing in the back cover that is mirrored in the rear jacket flap. The jacket also has some scratching on the back cover, some browning to the flaps, and some bumping to the corners but otherwise shows only minor edge wear/scuffing. The red lettering on the front cover, which can be quite worn on these books, is in beautiful condition with only very slight rubbing to the letter "S."
