E Rutherford, New Jersey, U.S.A.: Putnam Pub Group, 1987. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. The chance discovery of a ship buried underground for millions of years transforms the inhabitants of a New England town into one evil, homicidal entity. This is a true first printing with the phrase "Permissions to Come" printed beneath a correct full number line sequence. This copy features the author's name in red, though it should be noted that both the red and the gold versions are equally desirable. Save for some large pencil markings on the front endpapers (which are not readily noticeable against the dark green paper), this is a very clean copy with no writing, marks, underlining, or bookplates. No remainder marks. Not an ex-library copy. Spine is tight and crisp. Corners are square, and the boards are flat and true, though they show some general wear. Dust jacket is not price-clipped but also shows some wear and scuffing. The back cover is also lightly creased, and the flaps and inside edges have some browning. The lettering on the front cover, which can be quite worn on these books, shows minimal rubbing. This highly collectible, very good/very good, first edition/first printing copy is protected with an archival mylar dust jacket cover. A classic King novel at a great price! Satisfaction guaranteed!

Though the textblock edges show some moderate soiling, this is a fairly clean copy with no writing, marks, underlining, or bookplates. No remainder marks. Not an ex-library copy. Spine is tight and crisp. Boards are flat and true, and the corners are square. Boards do have some moderate wear, bumping, and soiling, and the front board has a small indentation as if from a fingernail. Dust jacket is not price-clipped but does have some edge wear/scuffing as well as a crease along the spine. The jacket also has some browning to the flaps, and the inside is soiled along the spine and browned as well. But the lettering on the front cover, which can be quite worn on these books, is in perfect shape with no rubbing at all. This collectible, very good/very good, first edition/first printing copy is protected with an archival mylar dust jacket cover. A classic King novel at a great price! Satisfaction guaranteed!

BEAUTIFULLY SIGNED BY STEPHEN KING directly to the half-title page without inscription. Mr. King's autograph has been professionally authenticated by James Spence Authenticators (JSA) and includes their ironclad full Letter of Authenticity (hologram sticker placement is on the letter, NOT in the book). First printing with full numberline on copyright page. Mostly near fine with clean bright and probably unread text, richly colored boards with nice corners and mild blemishes to the dust jacket. Some floxing on upper page block. Looks terrific with a new mylar cover. Expedited and international shipping are welcome. Signed by author.
