The next line says "Printed in the U.S.A. 37". The last line is "First American edition, October 1998". The boards have a purple diamond-embossed (quilted) pattern, with a red cloth spine. The spine has no number and says "Rowling". The dust jacket flap price is $16.95. The barcode includes the number 51695. The spine says "Rowling" and has no "Year 1" logo. The words "Harry Potter" are in raised gold letters. The back panel has a blurb by Publisher's Weekly. The spine is slanted and softened at the ends. Previous owner's name is written on the front pastedown. In a sound binding with hinges intact. The dust jacket is softened at the spine ends and has small spots of wear at the corners. There is some underside dampstain at the spine tail, not visible on the outside. In Brodart archival dust jacket protector.. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
