8vo. Quarter-bound in black cloth, black boards. Gilt titling on the spine. First Random House Edition after a Franklin Library Limited Edition. The price is present on the DJ which shows a little yellowing and some edge wear at the upper end of the spine.

This 1986 memoir/biography is a 1st Edition/1st Printing. The hardback is in Fine condition, and the NearFine bright dustjacket has only rubbing on the edges without any tears.

1st Edition Hardcover with Dust jacket. Copy in inscribed to Connie Martinson (Talks Books Host) on 4/2/86 the year of issue but with an error to the recipients name. It was signed to Carol, and Ms. Angelou's inscription apologizes for the error correcting it to Connie. A few pages had been dog-eared, two with small ink marks and the last two pages have notes unfortunately in ink presumably by Ms. Martinson in preparation for her interview with Angelou. Otherwise, copy is clean, binding is tight, and jack shows just the slightest bit of yellowing from age and handling wear.

Very good condition. First Edition. Text is clean and binding is tight. Minor corner bumping and a small chip in the binding of the front cover. DJ is solid and in good condition in protective covering. DJ shows minor sings of aging with light discoloration at its edges. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall
