The Cruise of Her Majesty's Ship "Challenger" details the ships many voyages over many seas, with its journey from England to Lisbon, Tenerife, Bermuda, Australia, New Zealand Japan the Falkland Islands and back home. Â The HMS Challenger was a steam assisted Royal Navy Pearl-class corvette and was the flagship of the Australia Station between 1866 and 1870. Â With a folding map showing the journey of the Challenger a frontispiece and many illustrations throughout the volume. Collated, complete. Â Â Undated, dated from Jisc, being the Fourteenth Edition. In full calf prize binding for Southport Centre. Externally, lovely. With a prize bookplate to the first page after the front free endpaper from the Southport Centre. Internally, firmly bound with generally bright and clean pages. Very Good Indeed.
