With the dust-jacket illustrated by Broom-Lynne, priced at 21s. A well-read copy showing a bit of a lean, and toning to edges. Jacket toned to spine and edges, with some wear and a couple of chips and closed tears. Very good. The eighth in the twelve-volume 'A Dance to the Music of Time' series. Anthony Powell won the 1958 James Tait Black Memorial Prize, founded in memory of a partner in the publishing house of A. and C. Black Ltd., and one of the oldest and most prestigious book awards in Britain.

True first British printing with original unclipped jacket (21s). The eighth book in 'A Dance to The Music of Time' sequence of novels. Jacket illustrated by Broom Lynne. Jacket has minor patchy edge/shelf wear, a few small marks, the odd spot of foxing, the odd small crease/rub to edges, minor pushing/rubbing to head/tail of spine, minor pushing/bumping to corners, patchy browning, a little fading to spine and a little creasing/rubbing/browning to front/back inner flaps. Boards are near fine (having been well protected by the jacket) with a hint of pushing/bumping to corners and minor pushing/rubbing to head/tail of spine. Pages are generally clean and the binding is tight. Odd small mark/spot of foxing to page edges, tops and bottoms. Pages little tanned. Very occasional small mark to pages. End-papers bit tanned. No other faults. A nice copy. All books described honestly and accurately. Paypal accepted.

The original dust jackets are unclipped and protected by clear, removable covers. Minor wear only. Four nice books that would be a good contribution towards building the set of twelve that make up the complete series. Loosely inserted is a newspaper article by Kingsley Amis reviewing the final book in the series.
