Book is in very good condition, and dust jacket is in very good condition. Some very minor marks to back-cover of dust jacket, but nothing major nor noticeable. Very minor shelf-wear to bottom left-edge of book. Colour of dust jacket remains very vivid and clear. Spine of book is in very good condition, no cracking and binding remains very tight. All text inside the book is legible, very slight mark on copyright page of book, other than this no faults whatsoever within the book. All photographs and illustrations are extremely vivid and clear. David Hicks is regarded as one of the most important and influential interior designers of the late twentieth century. Known for his use of bold colours, mixing antique and modern furniture, and unusual geometric designs in carpets and textiles, Hicks truly was an innovator in interior design. Written by his son - Ashley Hicks - who had access to all of Hicks' archives, journals, scrapbooks and personal photos, this book is a personal celebration of a half century of beautiful and creative interiors designed by Hicks.
