Irving, Washington Publisher: J.B. Lippincott...Date published: 1913Format: Hardcover
A RARE copy of this classic collection of tales rooted in the author's time in Europe. Includes full color illustrations (and illustrated endpapers) by George Hood. This is a very clean copy with no writing, marks, underlining, or bookplates. The binding is quite loose, and some of the pages have separated, but these are intact and included. Also the pages are a bit browned/foxed, and there is a large tear on page 105. There is no dust jacket, so the boards are worn, though this is confined mostly to the edges and mainly to the spine. The front illustration is intact and has retained its color. This highly collectible, very good, and RARE copy is protected with an archival mylar cover. Satisfaction guaranteed!
