Red cloth boards with gilt decoration and titles. The boards and spine are bumped and rubbed. Damp stain and marks to the top and bottom boards. The text block is not affected. Gift inscription to the end paper dated 1922. Light foxing to the outer pages. Undated but believed to have been published in 1899.

Cover is worn and a little faded, with small marks arouns and a couple of bent corners. Spine is faded and worn at the ends. Some small marks to the textblock. Some small marks to endpages too
