1942. Reprinted. 340 pages. No dust jacket. Orange cloth. Illustrated by George Rankin. Introduction by J Arthur Thomson. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Foxing more noticeable towards the start and end of the book. A few pages intensely foxed. A few dog-eared corners. Boards have some moderate edge wear, with slight bumping to corners and minor bumping to spine ends. Slight split to upper rear joint. Slight water staining to front and rear. Spine is slightly sunned and foxed. Boards moderately foxed overall.

1942. Latest Reprint. 340 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth. Colour illustrated plates. Light foxing and tanning to pages and plates. More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Moderate cracking to gutters causing some looseness to binding but pages remain attached. Pen inscription to front pastedown. Book is slightly bowed and forward leaning with visible tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has minor tanning with soft crushing to ends.
