Signed by Ferlinghetti on the front cover. Ferlinghetti helped to ignite the San Francisco literary renaissance of the 1950s and the âBeatâ movement. It was Ferlinghetti's strong belief, that art should be accessible to all people, not just a small sector of highly educated intellectuals.
