This is her follow-up to the great memoir, Just Kids. Signed (on tipped in page between front end paper and the half title), with gold foil "Signed First Edition" sticker on front of dj. I'm happy to say that this wonderful woman once ordered a book from me.

Signed by Patti Smith on a leaf tipped in behind the front free endpaper by the publisher. A bright, fresh copy of the first printing of the first edition. That in 2005 Smith was awarded the Commandeur des Art et des Lettres by the French Ministry of Culture, and won the National Book Award in 2010 is a curious sequence of recognition: Often America's notable cultural icons are revered by institutions abroad before domestic tributes are bestowed. Dust jacket is now preserved in a clear, removable archival sleeve.

Printed on inexpensive newsprint type paper and measuring 11 1/4 x 16 1/2" tall. These four issues all contain extensions of Cantos of Ezra Pound by a wide variety of poets and artists including Corso, Buckminster Fuller, John Cage, James Lee Byars, Allen Ginsberg, Robert Creeley and others. Also these issues includes writings, photographs, interviews and more with Charles Henri Ford, W. S. Burroughs, Ira Cohen, Patti Smith et al. Other than toning to the paperstock which is normal for these issues, they are in fine condition. Special lavender clothbound edition printed in silver provided directly by the publisher in presumably very small quantities. This copy comes with the original mailing envelope from the publisher SIGNED by Michael Andre in 1995 and sent to poet Jackson Mac Low.

This book is hard-bound in burgundy covers with a black leather spine, with light gray stamping to the upper cover and spine, with a pictorial paste-down on the upper cover. There is some very light rubbing to the edges of the spine-ends, as well as somne light wear to the very top and bottom of the joints, but with the covers in otherwise excellent condition. The binding is solid. The contents are bright and clean with 250, black & white photo illustrations throughout. This book is signed/inscribed by the author/artist Patti Smith on the title-page. Laid-in at the front of the book is a folded booklet/pamphlet titled, "Patti Smith, A Pythagorean Traveler. An Evening of Words and Song, January 11, 2007," which is signed by Patti Smith on the inside. Also included with the book is the padded, mailing envelope which was used to ship the book between the collector and the author/artist (The envelope is torn open, but added for provenance.) - From the collection of Cuthbert Christian Thambimuttu (1945-2019) of Columbus, Ohio - known to many of his bookseller, author, and illustrator friends as "Tubby." He was persistent in the pursuit of autographed books by the writers and artists he admired, including Gorey, Sendak, Heaney, Byatt, Morrison, Updike and many more. Joseph Heller once wrote to Tubby in response to one more "please sign and return" request: "This is turning out to be a hell of a lot of work!" All signed books unconditionally guaranteed to be authentic. Many of the books are inscribed to both Cuthbert and his great friend of more than two decades Antonia Gale Moss. ; Signed by Author .

This image was used on the cover of her 1988 Dream of Life album. The photo image measures 12 1/4" square. Condition is only good with light creases and wear to the stiff paper employed. SIGNED by Patti beneath the image. Despite the less than stellar condition it would look quite handsome framed.

The sleeve is somewhat worn and toned, but in overall good to very good condition. The sleeve is boldly SIGNED by Patti on the front and also SIGNED by Lenny Kaye on the back panel of the sleeve. The record was produced by Lenny Kaye for Robert Mapplethorpe and was originally recorded on June 5, 1974 on Mer Records 601.
