Xii pp + 156 pages with 8 colour plates and line drawings in black throughout all by Charles Robinson. oatmeal colour cloth embossed in green, blue and gilt on both top board and spine, again by C.R. minor rubbing most of the cloth still bright as is the spine, with this particularly bright. art-nouveau style illustrations and also endpapers, some foxing throughout and also to pictorial endpapers, the colour plates are free of any foxing. Half title and all edges uncut, inscription on ffep, "Dec 30th 1913. To Edith from Ralph with the best of wishes for the New Year. 1914". Good+ to Very Good+

Good condition for it's advanced age. There are some pictures of the author glued in the FEP, deckle edge papers, several ownership marks on the end papers and title page. Gold on the covers are still bright, some edge wear, and rubbing on the spine. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall

fine copy in the original green cloth, illustrated by the great Tasha Tudor and signed by her best wishes on the half title in a very good dust jacket.

A very lovely copy bound in the publishers dark green buckrum with gilt titles on the slightly faded spine, and an elaborate and amusing gilt embelishment on the front board with a small child holding a bucket with trailing flowers surrounding heragain on the back board a little girl is digging with a spade and a long plant above her. Gilt edges all around , book plate of two angels around the name James Conolly of Belfast on the front pastedown and in neat pen the name Jennie Conolly on the first end paper. A great many very charming illustrations in black and white by Robinson.
