Attractive calligraphic bookplate of Victoria Burbidge (and husband Brinsley) botanist, both at Edinburgh Botanic Gardens and at Kew, also Denver Botanic Garden. For many years she edited Curtisà Botanical Magazine. She was also Clematis registrar for the Royal Horticultural Society. She was also known as Vicky Matthews. Signed presentation from the author on the front endpaper to Victoria Burbidge, "with my best wishes, Samuel Sprunger."
