The paper dust jacket is covered in neat, clear, removable plastic. The dust jacket has some chipping along the top front and back edges, as well as on it's corners. There is a small round mark on the front top corner, where a label has been removed. Under the dist jacket, the hardcover is in good condition. It is green with gold writing on the spine. There is a small amount of foxing on the first and last few pages and some page edges.

First edition, first printing. The publisher's retained copy. Original green cloth with gilt titles to the spine, in dustwrapper. A very nice copy, the binding square and firm, the contents with the publisher's "Archive Copy" stamp to the title page are otherwise clean throughout.
