1st edition, 1st printing. 180pp, (5.5 x 8.5 inches), b&w illustrations. VG/Good. Hardcover with dust jacket. Patterned boards, ends of spine barely rubbed, a few little spots in the text, otherwise tight, sharp, no markings. DJ is worn, espcially at edges. Small chips and tears, largest is a single one-inch tear. Rear flap creased.

A good presumed 1st Edition hardcover in a not quite good dustjacket. The book is in clean red boards bumped and a little rubbed to the spine ends and corners. Internally the letter "R" is inked on the front endpaper, else no writing or markings on the slightly toned pages which are a little tanned to the textblock edges. The aged dustwrapper is bumped to the edges with small closed tears and chips - supplied in a new removable archival sleeve. Carefully packaged and despatched within 48 hours from our wee bookshop in Scotland. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 160 pages

Minimal wear, clean and unmarked. Price clipped jacket shows light edgewear, minor rubbing/soiling. A 'fable", set in the Scottish Highlands.

1/8" chipped across the top of the spine of the jacket. Other lesser wear at the edges. Back panel has some rubbing. In plastic cover. No marks.

Jacket art by Harry Toothill. Very light wear to book, jacket has several chips and tears and is unpriced indicating an export edition as was Collins's practice. 160 pp.

Hardcover with red boards. Owner's name, dated 1957, on the front free endpaper. Short review of the book attached to the front endpaper. Slight wear to the ends of the spine. A touch of wear to the tips of the boards. The front and back flaps of the dust jacket are present in the book.
