Red cloth over boards, black ink decorations on front cover and spine, gilt lettering and decoration on front cover, gilt top edge, green floral decorated pastedowns and front free end papers. Very good, spine faded, pastedowns and free and papers darkened, pages agetoned, pages folded at page 204 to 208.
Undated, presumed first edition published in 1877 with all edges gilt and marbled leather binding. Tag with name and coat of arms of previous owner adhered to inside cover. Moderate browning to pages and minor glue stain to title page, otherwise contents complete and clean. Very good condition overall. 18 cm tall, 678 pp.
